Authorised in the EU: entries in 17 food categories of Annex II Part E. The level and conditions depend on the category.

United States (FDA) Listed, check the entry

FDA Substances Added to Food and Color Additive Status (substance level)

In the FDA inventory, but not under a direct-addition or prior-sanction section (172/180/181/182/184): it may be a GRAS notice, a flavour (FEMA) or an indirect use. Check the cited entry.

Substance level only: FDA does not set limits by food category the way Codex and the EU do; conditions of use are in the cited 21 CFR section.

الولايات المتحدة (FDA) مدرج، راجع البند

قوائم FDA للمواد المضافة للغذاء وحالة المواد الملوّنة (على مستوى المادة)

موجود في قائمة FDA لكن ليس تحت بند إضافة مباشرة أو موافقة سابقة (172/180/181/182/184): قد يكون إشعار GRAS أو منكّهاً (FEMA) أو استخداماً غير مباشر. راجع البند المذكور.

على مستوى المادة فقط: إدارة الغذاء والدواء الأمريكية لا تضع حدوداً حسب الفئة الغذائية كما يفعل Codex والاتحاد الأوروبي؛ شروط الاستخدام في بند 21 CFR المذكور.
